On Sunday, August 27, 2023, Dream Beyond Limits hosted its Mile for the Mighty 5K, a community-driven fundraising initiative held along the Green Loop in Trumbull, Connecticut. Each participant contributed a $10 registration fee, demonstrating their support for individuals living with limb loss and their commitment to equitable access to mobility solutions. The event brought together supporters of all ages—families, students, and local residents—in a unified effort to promote inclusion, awareness, and access to essential medical resources. At the conclusion of the event, a total of $500 was raised and donated to Amputee Blade Runners (ABR)—a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that designs and manufactures custom prosthetic limbs for amputees who are not eligible for insurance coverage. Our donation directly supported the cost of a prosthetic running leg for a young girl who lost her limb due to cancer, restoring not only her ability to walk and play, but also her confidence, independence, and hope for the future.
